兵丁既然将耶稣钉在十字架上，就拿他的衣服分为四分，每兵一分。又拿他的里衣。这件里衣，原是没有缝儿，是上下一片织成的。
Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
耶稣见母亲和他所爱的那个门徒站在旁边，就对他说，母亲，（原文作妇人）看你的儿子。
When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
这事以后，耶稣知道各样的事已经成了，为要使经上的话应验，就说，我渴了。
After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
耶稣尝（原文作受）了那醋，就说，成了。便低下头，将灵魂交付神了。
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
犹太人因这日是豫备日，又因那安息日是个大日，就求彼拉多叫人打断他们的腿，把他们拿去，免得尸首当安息日留在十字架上。
The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
于是兵丁来，把头一个的腿，并与耶稣同钉第二个人的腿，都打断了。
Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
经上又有一句说，他们要仰望自己所扎的人。
And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
这些事以后，有亚利马太人约瑟，是耶稣的门徒，只因怕犹太人，就暗暗的作门徒，他来求彼拉多，要把耶稣的身体领去。彼拉多允准，他就把耶稣的身体领去了。
And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
又有尼哥底母，就是先前夜里去见耶稣的，带着没药，和沈香，约有一百斤前来。
And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.
只因是犹太人的豫备日，又因那坟墓近，他们就把耶稣安放在那里。
There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.
